The Sr. Architect/ Project Manager will lead an in-house team of design professionals (architects, structural, civil, land use), and will closely collaborate with a construction team (project managers, supervisors, craft persons) through completion to deliver great project results.

 JOB POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Provide exceptional Project Management Skills and Architectural Design for commercial, industrial, and institutional building projects, including:
  • Be driving force to foster creative and collaborative project teams.
  • Lead architectural design of building projects, including drawings, specifications, and consultant coordination. 
  • Lead overall design process to ensure compliance with cost, time, quality and quantity objectives. (budgets, priorities, scheduling, staffing, etc.) 
  • Manage project Quality Assurance / Quality Control for optimum constructibility
  • Develop preliminary concept programs and design approach alternatives to aid in project formation.
  • Work closely with Program Management, Engineering, and Marketing to conceptualize projects and respond to proposals.
  • Lead the selection of consultants.  
  • Supervise and manage preparation of drawings, details, and specifications.
  • Lead development of construction and bid documents.
  • Oversee regulatory review process.
  • Lead development of various capital need assessments and capital campaign endeavors.
  • Work with senior management to execute corporate global objectives.  

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Exceptional Project Management and Building Design skills 
  • Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of building codes, construction, details, materials & methods
  • Proven ability to create cost-effective creative design solutions.
  • Five years or greater experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and workflows, and meet deadlines.  
  • Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of application and implications of building codes.
  • Proven ability to direct and recommend cost-effective creative design solutions.
  • Strong project level supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with typical industry software, such as Office 365, Revit, and Autodesk. 
  • Proficiency in business English.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS/LICENSES

  • 4-10 years architectural design & management experience.
  • Two years or greater experience working with multi-disciplinary design teams for commercial building projects.
  • Certificate or degree related to Architectural design
  • Valid State of Oregon Architects License
  • Valid driver’s license and reasonable driving record
  • Ability to walk project sites, climb ladders, and lift 45lbs occasionally
